The Department of Public Administration at Istanbul Aydın University has a strong human resource structure supported by a competent academic staff and instructors who contribute through an interdisciplinary approach. Academic and administrative personnel actively participate in the implementation of educational activities, scientific research and publications, community engagement, as well as quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
The Head of the Department, a faculty member with academic and administrative experience in the field of Public Administration, is responsible for the academic and administrative management of the department. Key responsibilities include the development of the curriculum, coordination of course plans, distribution of academic duties, implementation of quality assurance processes, strengthening relations with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with faculty and university strategies.
The academic staff includes three professors who offer undergraduate courses in core and specialized areas such as public administration, political science, public policy, administrative law, local governments, and governance, while also contributing to the department’s academic depth through scientific research and national and international publications. Three Assistant Professors support a dynamic and up-to-date educational structure by employing contemporary teaching methods and practice-oriented course content, thereby fostering a student-centered learning environment.
Two Research Assistants support undergraduate courses and academic research activities, enhance assessment and evaluation processes, and strengthen interaction between students and faculty members. In addition, the department adopts an interdisciplinary educational approach enriched by contributions from faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Law, enabling students to develop a comprehensive and multidimensional perspective on public administration.
