Employers & Sectoral Partners

At the internal and external stakeholder meetings held regularly each academic year, the agenda includes an item on the determination of educational objectives, and stakeholders' views on the currency and relevance of the program's educational objectives are obtained (PSI Annex-2 and PSI Annex-3). Subsequently, if stakeholders put forward suggestions regarding the updating of the program's educational objectives, these proposals are routinely brought to the agenda of departmental academic meetings, where decisions regarding updates are made. Internal and external stakeholder meetings will continue to be held each academic year, and the program's educational objectives will be updated in line with stakeholders' recommendations.

The review and revision of the department's program learning outcomes are also carried out particularly based on the outcomes of meetings held with internal and external stakeholders, taking their feedback into consideration.

The undergraduate curriculum includes three compulsory "On-the-Job Practice" courses offered over three semesters. Within the scope of these courses, students have the opportunity to gain experience in different fields of psychology by completing internships at different institutions each semester.

Through the On-the-Job Practice (Internship) courses titled YUM301, YUM302, and YUM401, students acquire hands-on experience through direct practice and application. In order to fulfill the requirements of these compulsory on-the-job practice courses, which are completed over three separate semesters (the 5th, 6th, and and 7th semesters), students may undertake their internships at institutions with which the University has existing agreements, such as clinics, hospitals, schools, and courthouses. In this way, students are encouraged to conduct observations in the physical settings of partner institutions on designated days of the week, to observe professional working relationships, to actively engage in the process, and to contribute to practice.

By taking the YUM courses while continuing their education, students gain field-based practical experience and are able to shape their future careers more consistently and consciously as graduates who have a clearer understanding of their professional goals.
