The Undergraduate Program in Preschool Teacher Education is implemented with the contribution of qualified academic and administrative staff. In order for the program to achieve its educational objectives, it is essential that roles are clearly defined and that personnel are assigned in accordance with these roles.
The academic coordination of the program is carried out by the Program Chair. The Program Chair is responsible for the planning, coordination, and monitoring of academic processes and assumes critical roles such as the implementation of the curriculum, the assignment of teaching staff, and the facilitation of academic interaction with students. Currently, Prof. Dr. Belma Tuğrul serves as the Program Chair. This position ensures that the curriculum is managed effectively in line with the principles of continuous improvement.
The academic staff constitutes another key component that directly influences the educational quality of the program. The academic personnel involved in the Preschool Teacher Education Program undertake multidimensional responsibilities, including course delivery, academic advising, conducting scientific research, and guiding professional practice.
This academic staff guides students in both theoretical instruction and practical training processes, delivers courses aligned with the curriculum, and contributes to the development of professional competencies. The scientific expertise and professional experience of the academic staff support the program’s alignment with national and international standards.
Administrative staff work in coordination with academic staff to ensure the organization and continuity of teaching and learning processes. All administrative units, particularly the Faculty Secretariat, ensure the smooth operation of student affairs, course schedule announcements, documentation procedures, and communication processes. This structural support contributes to the timely fulfillment of students’ academic needs and to the effectiveness of administrative procedures. The distribution of roles, job descriptions, and performance responsibilities among the academic and administrative staff involved in the program are clearly defined and carried out in alignment with strategic objectives. This integrated approach supports the enhancement of the program’s educational quality, the increase of student satisfaction, and the effective achievement of learning outcomes.
