Graduates of the English Language Teaching Program are employed at various levels of the education system, primarily within the Ministry of National Education (MoNE), and constitute one of the program's key external stakeholders. Graduates' employment status, professional competencies, and alignment with program learning outcomes are systematically monitored as part of the program's quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
A significant proportion of English Language Teaching graduates are employed as English language teachers in public schools through centralized recruitment procedures conducted by MoNE. In addition, graduates work in private schools, language courses, private educational institutions, and various non-governmental organizations operating in the field of education, while some pursue academic careers through postgraduate studies. Data regarding graduates' employment areas are regularly updated through graduate tracking studies and the university's alumni information system.
Graduate feedback is collected through graduate tracking surveys, online interviews, and professional experience-sharing activities. This feedback is used to evaluate graduates' professional needs, alignment with the national English language curriculum, the adequacy of teaching practice components, and the extent to which program learning outcomes are reflected in professional life. The findings serve as evidence for updating course content, strengthening teaching practice processes, and reviewing program learning outcomes.
Graduates' professional performance and continuity of employment within MoNE schools are considered important indicators of the program's achievement of its educational and professional objectives. In this respect, graduate tracking and feedback activities are conducted as a sustainable and evidence-based improvement mechanism that supports the program's alignment with national teacher competencies and the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF).
