The Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department, within our Faculty, began its educational activities in the 2017-2018 academic year under the Faculty of Education and joined our Faculty with its establishment in May 2018. Our department continuously strengthens both its academic staff and sports facilities each year.

In addition to undergraduate education, since the 2018-2019 academic year, Master's and Doctoral programs have also been offered under the Graduate Education Institute.

The aim of our department is to train teachers, sports scientists, sports experts, and academics who are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed by the Republic of Turkey, but who can also find a place for themselves anywhere in the world; who possess national, moral, and democratic values; who respect human rights; who are modern, free-thinking and speaking; who are tolerant; dedicated; and who have high self-confidence.Our department, which accepts students through the ÖZYES program, has the opportunity to combine education and sports with numerous elite athletes at national and international levels.
