The Audiology Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Aydın University has been accredited in different periods by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Education Programs (SABAK) as a result of comprehensive evaluations confirming that it meets national higher education quality standards.
The program was first granted accreditation by the Health Sciences Education Programs Accreditation Board for the period between 15.03.2019 and 30.09.2021
Following this, the accreditation period was extended as a result of a re-evaluation, covering the dates 19.03.2021 – 30.09.2024
Most recently, based on institutional and program-based assessments, the Department of Audiology at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Health Sciences has been re-accredited by SABAK for the period 20.03.2024 – 30.09.2026.
These consecutive accreditation processes demonstrate that the program’s educational structure, academic staff, clinical training infrastructure, assessment and evaluation system, and continuous quality improvement mechanisms comply with national quality assurance standards and are sustainable. The IAU Audiology Undergraduate Program holds the distinction of being the first audiology program in Türkiye to be accredited by SABAK, and since 2019, this quality assurance has been officially indicated to prospective students and stakeholders through the SABAK label displayed next to the program name in the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YKS) Preference Guide.
