Admission, Recognition & Transfers

Applicants holding a high school diploma who demonstrate the required level of achievement in the centralized examinations administered by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or in international examinations recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) are placed in the Nursing Program of Istanbul Aydın University based on their preferences and ranking order. Student admissions to the Nursing Program are carried out by the Student Affairs Unit within the framework of the principles determined by YÖK, the ÖSYM Presidency, and the University Rectorate, and within the officially announced application periods, upon submission of the required documents. Annual student quotas are entered into the YÖK system by the University within the designated timeframes. Turkish citizens are admitted to the Nursing Program based on their results in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM.

The Nursing Program of Istanbul Aydın University has defined and published European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits for each course and for the program as a whole, enabling comparisons with nursing programs at national and international universities, as well as facilitating inter-program and intra-program transfers (horizontal and vertical transfers). Application dates for horizontal and vertical transfers are announced to students via the University’s official website (https://www.aydin.edu.tr/tr-tr/ogrenciler/kayit-kabul/Pages/yatay-gecis.aspx).

Horizontal transfers from higher education institutions in Türkiye and abroad are conducted in accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer” and the “Republic of Türkiye Istanbul Aydın University Associate and Undergraduate Programs Horizontal Transfer Directive.” In line with the “Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education for Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs,” applications for vertical transfer to the Nursing Program are also accepted.
