Nursing is a respected profession that accompanies individuals, families, and communities throughout the entire life span—from birth to the end of life—while placing human dignity and the right to life at its core. Nurses provide care with a deep belief in the uniqueness and inherent value of every individual, delivering nursing care without discrimination based on religion, language, or race, in accordance with ethical principles. Compassion, mercy, and the philosophy of “treating others as we wish to be treated” form the foundation of nursing practice.

As the Department of Nursing within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Aydın University, our primary goal is not only to equip you with professional knowledge and skills, but also to educate you as responsible individuals, ethical professionals, and critical thinkers. With our experienced and dedicated academic staff, we offer a contemporary nursing education that fosters problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills.

At the end of your four-year undergraduate education, we will proudly graduate you as professional nurses capable of delivering safe, high-quality, and ethical nursing care across healthcare settings in Türkiye and beyond. Following graduation, we will continue to support your professional development and remain closely connected with you as alumni.

In order to ensure and continuously improve the quality of our education, our national and international accreditation process is actively ongoing. In addition, since 2022, our department has organized

international congresses to enhance students’ scientific research and presentation skills while strengthening national and international collaborations in nursing.
