The Midwifery program first began admitting students in the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year with 112 students enrolling. The program plans for each class to have one class representative and one co-class representative. As of November 2025, the Midwifery Club was established, with one president and one co-president. Every student enrolled in the Midwifery Program at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Health Sciences can become a member of the Midwifery Club. During the student representative and president elections, volunteer candidates were selected, and all students voted. The candidate with the most votes was appointed as the representative and president. Co-representatives and co-club presidents were also elected using the same method. Students in the Midwifery program can communicate their problems to the program head through their class representative, visit their advisors in their offices during counseling hours, and contact the program head via email at any time. Students receive a response to their emails from their advisor and the program head within 24 hours at the latest. All students are added to a WhatsApp group that includes their advisor and the program head. Announcements are made via Ubis. Even if students do not communicate with their advisors or program head, individual meetings are held with each student during advisor assignment, course registration week, and the preparation of laboratory and clinical practice lists. The program head holds face-to-face meetings with students once or twice a semester to receive feedback. The tradition of having the Program Head teach the first semester course of the first year, EBE 101 Introduction to Midwifery has been adopted.
