In our faculty, the Basic Skills Laboratory on the 5th floor of Block M is used for laboratory applications of the midwifery field courses included in the curriculum of the midwifery program. Used within the scope of the Basic Clinical Practices in Midwifery course, this 110m² laboratory has a capacity of 28 students and is based on the principle of demonstration and learning by doing. The Basic Skills Laboratory is used for the following midwifery field courses: Basic Clinical Practices in Midwifery, Prenatal Period-I, Systemic Diseases, Prenatal Period-II, Family Planning, Normal Birth and Postnatal Care, High-Risk Birth and Postnatal Care, Neonatal Health and Diseases, and Women's Health and Diseases. In cases where the Basic Skills Laboratory's capacity of 28 students is insufficient, the Medical Skills Laboratory and the Vocational School Laboratory are made available for use by midwifery program students. Midwifery training is conducted using the models and materials of these laboratories. The planning and organization of the university's laboratories are planned by the Education Planning Directorate for each department according to suitable days and times.

The anatomy laboratory for the midwifery program is conducted in the Anatomy Laboratory on the 1st floor of Block H, the physiology laboratory in the Physiology laboratory on the 1st floor of Block H, and the first aid and emergency care laboratory in the Basic Skills Laboratory on the -1st floor of Block H, using models and mannequins. The biostatistics course in the midwifery program is conducted in the computer laboratories located in Block D. The Computer Science Application Laboratories in Block D provide students with practical training opportunities in hardware, communication systems, networking, and information security. 500 MAC computers are available for student use in the Computer Science Application Laboratories in Block D. The equipment, models, and materials used in the laboratories by midwifery program students are prepared by the teaching staff of the application area and the head of the midwifery program. Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and devices are carried out by the responsible staff and the biomedical team.
