Students

In the Civil Engineering Program at Istanbul Aydın University, active student participation in decision-making processes is considered essential for the continuous improvement of educational quality. Accordingly, student representation, feedback mechanisms, and participation channels are effectively implemented.

Within the department, student representatives elected at each academic level serve as a communication bridge between students and departmental administration. Student representatives regularly convey students' opinions, suggestions, and requests to the department chair and relevant academic committees.

To collect systematic feedback, various assessment tools are utilized, including course evaluation surveys, program satisfaction surveys, and graduate and stakeholder questionnaires. The outcomes of these evaluations are taken into account in curriculum updates, course content revisions, and the improvement of teaching and learning methods.

In addition, students are able to express their views directly through departmental meetings, academic advising sessions, committee interactions, seminars, and social activities. Digital platforms provided by the university, official e-mail communication, and the student information system also serve as important channels supporting participation and feedback processes. Through these mechanisms, active student engagement is encouraged, fostering a transparent, participatory, and continuously improving academic environment.
