Program Overview

The Department of Political Science and International Relations offers a multidisciplinary educational approach encompassing fields such as political systems, international relations, foreign policy, diplomacy, security studies, international law, and the global economy. The program aims to equip students with both solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills for analyzing contemporary global developments. Within this framework, students acquire the ability to critically and analytically evaluate political decision-making processes at national and international levels, as well as the interactions between state and non-state actors.

The academic approach of the department is grounded in the principles of critical thinking, evidence-based analysis, and ethical responsibility. The curriculum integrates classical and contemporary political theories with applied policy analysis, thereby supporting the development of competencies in diplomacy, negotiation, crisis management, and strategic foresight. Instruction in English enables direct access to international academic literature and contributes to the education of graduates who are competitive on a global scale.

Among the program's distinctive features are its curriculum aligned with international standards, practice-oriented course content, and a research- and project-based learning approach, all of which provide strong career preparation for positions in the public sector, private sector, and international organizations. In this respect, the department offers prospective students a dynamic and comprehensive academic environment, while aiming to educate graduates who are analytically skilled, globally aware, and solution-oriented for its stakeholders.
