​The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is one of the first faculties established at Istanbul Aydın University, together with the Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Engineering and Architecture. Following the founding deanship held by Prof. Dr. Yahya Kemal Yoğurtçu from September 3, 2007, to June 30, 2011, the deanship was carried out on an acting basis by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. İsmail Tok between July 2, 2011, and August 26, 2011. Subsequently, the position was held by Prof. Dr. Şuayip Karakaş from 2011 to 2018, and by Prof. Dr. Nükhet Çıkrıkçı between 2018 and 2022.
