Pharmacy is a health service that carries out activities related to the preparation and delivery of medicines in various pharmaceutical forms derived from natural and synthetic drug raw materials used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases; the analysis of medicines; the monitoring of their pharmacological continuity, safety, efficacy, and cost; ensuring standardization and quality assurance related to medicines; and informing patients about problems arising from drug use as well as reporting such issues.
Being a pharmacist is mandatory to open and operate a community pharmacy and to serve as the responsible manager of a pharmaceutical warehouse.
