Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The objective of this course is to introduce the main features of Turkish political system and discuss current political issues.
Course Content The course will cover the follwing issues: - overall characteristics and structure of the Turkish State, - main constitutional principles on political procedures - state organs - checks and balances - political party system, - election system, - civilian/military relations and - secularity.
