Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This course aims to help students understand the world. Sociology is a field of study that explains social, political, and economic phenomena in terms of social structures, social forces, and group relations.
Course Content Main schools of thought in sociology in a historical context; modernism and social change; socialization; urbanization; crime and deviance; social stratification (inequality), poverty and unemployment; race, ethnicity and migration.
