Purpose and Content

The aim of the course For states to shape the way of international relations is to pursuit stable, planned, long-term and goal oriented foreign policy. While states are forming their foreign policy, they must have information about the intentions and potentials of other friendly and hostile states. Otherwise, the desired foreign policy would not develop with a healthy ground and would not be successful. The most basic way to create the basis of information to foreign policy of states is to conduct an effective intelligence process. The purpose of this course is to focus on the relationship between intelligence and foreign policy that is highly ignored in the literature of The aim is to develop students' analysis and presentation skills. The professional field requires learning how to analyze and describe the problem to find the shortcut solution. For this, students need to learn how to organize presentations, academic reports and articles well on a subject that is the basic step of analytical thinking.
Course Content The main elements of the applied workshop in general will be discussed and strategic process of intelligence will be examined detail regarding axis of intelligence wheel. Questining and analytical thinking process is the focus issue of this course.
