ISTANBUL AYDIN UNIVERSITY FOOD APPLICATION AND RESEARCH CENTER REGULATION
PART ONE: Purpose, Scope, Basis, and Definitions
Purpose ARTICLE 1 – (1) The purpose of this Regulation is to regulate the procedures and principles regarding the objectives, activity areas, management bodies, and duties of the Istanbul Aydın University Food Application and Research Center.
Scope ARTICLE 2 – (1) This Regulation covers the provisions regarding the objectives, management bodies, duties of the management bodies, and working principles of Istanbul Aydın University Food Application and Research Center.
Basis ARTICLE 3 – (1) This Regulation is prepared based on Article 7 (d) of the Law on Higher Education No. 2547, dated 4/11/1981, and Article 14.
Definitions ARTICLE 4 – (1) In this Regulation, the following terms are defined:
- Center (IAÜGUAM): Istanbul Aydın University Food Application and Research Center,
- Director: The Director of the Center,
- Rector: The Rector of Istanbul Aydın University,
- University: Istanbul Aydın University,
- Board of Directors: The Board of Directors of the Center.
PART TWO: Purpose and Activity Areas of the Center
Purpose of the Center ARTICLE 5 – (1) The purpose of the Center is to offer scientific research opportunities related to food issues to the teaching staff and students of the faculties, colleges, and vocational schools of the University, to cooperate with the industry on relevant topics, to carry out scientific and applied studies to solve the problems of the food industry, and to manage these activities.
PART THREE: Management Bodies and Their Duties
The management bodies of the Center ARTICLE 7 – (1) The management bodies of the Center are:
- Director,
- Board of Directors,
- Advisory Board.
Director ARTICLE 8 – (1) The Director is appointed from among the University’s teaching staff or expert individuals outside the University by the Rector’s proposal and the approval of the Chairman of the Board of Directors for a period of two years. Additionally, one or two persons with similar qualifications can be appointed as deputy directors with the Director’s proposal and the Rector’s approval.
The Director’s duties ARTICLE 9 – (1) The Director's duties are as follows:
- Represent the Center,
- Preside over the Board of Directors,
- Organize research projects and submit them to the Rector for approval,
- Present the annual activity plan of the Center to the Rector for approval after obtaining the opinion of the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors ARTICLE 10 – (1) The Board of Directors consists of the Director, the deputy director(s), and at least five individuals who are appointed by the Rector from among the University’s teaching staff or external experts, with a total of no less than seven members.
Advisory Board ARTICLE 12 – (1) The members of the Advisory Board are selected from the University’s faculty members or foreign experts working at public and private institutions related to the Center’s activities, based on the Rector's proposal and the approval of the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
PART FOUR: Final Provisions
Enforcement ARTICLE 14 – (1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of publication.
Execution ARTICLE 15 – (1) The provisions of this Regulation shall be executed by the Rector of Istanbul Aydın University.
