The "Alumni Talk" event, held online on May 12, 2026, brought together our graduates and current students. During the event, Aleyna Gönül Güven and Lale Nas, graduates of the Foreign Trade (Turkish) Program, and İlkay Yıldırım, a graduate of the Foreign Trade (English) Program, shared their experiences and insights regarding their transition to undergraduate education through the DGS Exam, their academic journeys, and their professional careers. The alumni also provided students with valuable insights into job applications and interview processes, employers' expectations of recent graduates, career opportunities in customs consultancy, and the challenges and opportunities of the profession. The event concluded as a productive meeting that contributed to the students' academic and professional development.

Our graduates Ecem Bayrak (2018), Recep Denizli (2019), Remzi Uzer (2023), and Esma Kabak (2024) met with our students to share their experiences and advices regarding their professional careers and the DGS Exam process. The enjoyable and informative alumni-student meeting concluded with a Q&A session, during which the graduates answered students' questions.

Our 2019 graduate, Cihan Güney Gökçe, who works as a Customs Broker Assistant, and our 2021 graduate, Doğucan Demirkaya, who works as a Foreign Trade Assistant Specialist at QNB Finansbank, shared their professional experiences, the sectors they work in, and career opportunities with our students. In addition, a graduate who was admitted to the English Economics Program through the DGS Exam shared her experiences regarding the DGS process and provided valuable guidance to our students. The event contributed to students' awareness of career opportunities and educational pathways in the field of foreign trade.

Our 2019 graduate, Recep Denizli, currently works as an Operations Specialist at a company engaged in foreign trade activities. He shared his professional experiences and recommendations regarding working in a company's foreign trade department with our students.

On May 16, 2020, during an online graduate event, Fırat Çelik (2019 graduate) working as an Export and Import Customer Representative at DGF Customs Brokerage, and Elif Nur Akyel (2019 graduate) working as an Import Customer Representative at Emin Customs Brokerage, shared insights about their career paths and experiences in customs brokerage. Additionally, Tolga Kurtuldu (2018 graduate), working as the Export Operations Manager at Uplass Ambalaj ve San.Tic. A.Ş, provided information and insights for students considering a career at the company.

Samet Vardar (2019 graduate) who is a third-year student in the Economics program at Muğla University, and Kader Birinci (2018 graduate) who is a third-year student in the Economics and Finance program at Istanbul Aydın University, shared their experiences and advice regarding their undergraduate studies, DGS preparation, and possible program choices.

Bismillah Attar, who participated in our university's Erasmus program during his studies, provided information about the Erasmus process for students considering studying abroad.
