Driven by my aspiration to become a customs consultant since secondary school, I enrolled in the Foreign Trade Department at Istanbul Aydın University Anadolu BIL Vocational School of Higher Education on a full scholarship in 2019. By balancing my studies and work experience simultaneously, I graduated as an honor student in 2021. Through the mentorship of our Department Chair, Ms. Özlem Şenel, I began my career as an Import Account Representative at the firm where I completed my internship; today, I hold the same title at a different company while preparing for the 2023 Assistant Customs Consultant examination. I sincerely thank the IAU family and my distinguished professors for their tremendous support, and I advise recent graduates to persistently pursue careers where they find passion and fulfillment.
Cihan Güney G., Class of 2019
I entered the field of foreign trade during my high school years. While continuing full-time work at the customs brokerage firm where I began as an intern in my final year of high school, I successfully graduated from the Foreign Trade Program at Istanbul Aydın University on a full scholarship in 2019. Combining my professional responsibilities with academic studies allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge directly in the field. Throughout this period, strong communication with experienced faculty members provided invaluable professional and personal insights. As a result of this foundation and rigorous preparation, I passed the Assistant Customs Consultant (B License) exam with a top score in 2021. I currently serve as an Assistant Customs Consultant at the company where I started as an intern, and I am pursuing my bachelor's degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration to achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a licensed Customs Consultant (A License).
