Students

At Istanbul Aydın University's Culinary Arts Program, the active participation of students in decision-making processes is of great importance for the continuous improvement of the quality of education. In this context, student representation, feedback mechanisms, and participation channels are effectively operated. Student representatives, elected for each class level within the department, act as a communication bridge between students and the department administration. Student representatives regularly convey students' opinions, suggestions, and requests to the department head and relevant boards. Various measurement and evaluation tools such as course evaluation surveys, program satisfaction surveys, and alumni and stakeholder surveys are used to obtain feedback from students. The data obtained is taken into consideration in updating the curriculum, improving course content, and developing teaching methods. In addition, students can directly share their opinions on the program through department meetings, counseling sessions, academic board processes, seminars, and social events. Digital platforms, e-mail communication, and the student information system offered within the university are also among the important channels supporting participation and feedback processes. Thanks to this structure, active student participation in the education process is encouraged; and a transparent, participatory, and continuously improving academic environment is created.
