Students

In the Software Development Program, class student representation is implemented in all classes. For this purpose, candidate students are determined at the beginning of each new academic year. Then, for the candidate students, secret voting and open vote counting are held in front of all students of the relevant class. The student with the most votes becomes the relevant class representative. Class student representatives also elect a department student representative among themselves.

The main duty of class student representatives is to convey students' problems and suggestions to the department chair. Department student representatives are invited to department-related meetings. Students' feedback on the courses they take is received through a survey and the "Students' Course Evaluation Survey" at the end of each semester. This is one of the surveys. This survey seeks answers to very detailed information about the course. The outputs on these issues are evaluated at various management stages and the evaluation results are reported back to the relevant units and individuals. The surveys in question are stored for at least 12 semesters. Thus, the status of the same instructor in the eyes of students can be monitored in the long term.

The main duty of class student representatives is to convey students' problems and suggestions to the department chair. Department student representatives are invited to department-related meetings. At the end of each semester, students evaluate the instructor teaching each course through a survey. Students who do not participate in the survey cannot see the final exam result of the relevant course. In this survey, the instructor evaluates the course by giving grades between 1-5 under 31 different headings regarding the course handling, teaching method, and fulfillment of responsibilities. He/she can also submit a written opinion about the instructor if he/she wishes. In these surveys, the student's identity is confidential. The instructor can see his/her course survey results after announcing the final exam grades.
