Istanbul Aydın University has launched a four-year Software Development Undergraduate Program in the 2021-2022 academic year. The department's courses are in English, and after a preparatory year, the program will offer four years of instruction. Fundamental and up-to-date programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.) will be introduced to students in the first two years of the curriculum. Afterward, students are offered a focused curriculum in a specialized area suited to their career plans and development.
Wherever there are machines, there is software. Therefore, software offers a highly developed field of study and development. Some of these include cloud computing, embedded systems, desktop programming, web programming, Android application development, iOS application development, and game programming.
Electric cars, smart grids, smart homes, autonomous vehicles, drones, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain are just some of the machines and tools currently and will be in use in the near future. The world of software, comprised of all the machines they will interact with throughout their lifecycles, will likely see software focused on these components become more popular products in the near future. Within our curriculum, we strive to offer courses aligned with these new technological realms and to update the curriculum accordingly.
