The primary mission of the Department of Physiology is to advance scientific knowledge regarding the mechanisms underlying normal and abnormal physiological functions with the aim of improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. In our Department of Physiology, future physicians are trained with rapidly evolving and continuously updated physiological knowledge, and they are provided with the essential foundational practical medical training. Additionally, providing advanced-level physiology education to young academics—including graduate, doctoral, and medical specialty training—is also part of our mission. Various scientific research studies are conducted in our department in different areas of physiology (Electrophysiological measurements and analyses; Evoked / Event-Related Potential analyses; Electrodermal activity).
