The Department of Pediatrics focuses on the health and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents. It is dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of diseases and conditions that affect this age group. Our Department, is led by a team of medical professionals specializing in pediatric medicine, including pediatricians, pediatric nurses, and other healthcare providers. These experts possess extensive training and experience in managing the unique medical needs of children.
The primary objective of the Department of Pediatrics is to promote optimal physical, mental, and emotional health in children. The Department offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and screenings to monitor growth and development. The team also diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illnesses, manages injuries, and provides guidance on nutrition, development, and behavior.
Key focus areas within the Department include:
  1. Preventive Care: The Department emphasizes the importance of preventive care through routine well-child visits, immunizations, and screenings. The team works to identify potential health concerns early and take steps to prevent future illnesses.
  2. Developmental Assessments: Physicians closely monitor a child’s growth and development, evaluate developmental milestones, and identify any potential delays or concerns. They provide guidance and support to promote healthy development.
  3. Infectious Diseases: The Department plays a key role in diagnosing and treating infectious diseases commonly affecting children, such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, and vaccine-preventable illnesses.
  4. Chronic Conditions: Pediatric specialists within the Department manage and provide long-term care for chronic conditions that affect children, including asthma, diabetes, allergies, and genetic disorders.
