Program Overview

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program aims to educate healthcare professionals who enhance the quality of life of individuals with physical, functional, or movement-related limitations resulting from congenital or acquired conditions. The program trains physiotherapists who develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs for individuals diagnosed by physicians, while also contributing to scientific knowledge through research activities.

The academic approach of the program is based on a comprehensive, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary education model that integrates basic medical sciences, clinical sciences, and applied physiotherapy practice. Through a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and clinical application, students develop strong professional competencies and clinical reasoning skills.

Physiotherapists work in a wide range of clinical fields, including neurological, orthopedic, and traumatic conditions, rheumatology, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases; obstetric and urogynecological conditions, sports injuries, hand injuries, neurosurgery; plastic surgery, and functional impairments following general surgery. In addition, physiotherapists play an active role in intensive care and reanimation units, hydrotherapy, home-based care, chronic pain management, and palliative care.

Graduates may be employed in public and private hospitals, outpatient clinics, primary healthcare centers, sports clubs and organizations, health and fitness centers, schools and special education institutions, rehabilitation and care centers, nursing homes, municipalities, home care services, non-governmental organization–affiliated centers (such as associations for visual impairment, muscular diseases, and home care), and hydrotherapy units of hotels.

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program admits students through the SAY score type and aims to equip graduates with professional competencies recognized at both national and international levels.
