Welcome to Istanbul Aydın University, Department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, where we will spend the most remarkable four years of your lives together.

Your university years represent a crucial period for developing and maturing your chosen engineering profession in accordance with universal standards. Istanbul Aydın University, aiming to provide you with “A Bright Future” will also contribute to your personal development in the most effective way by enabling you to engage in various social, sports, and cultural activities. As the Department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, our priority is to train principled engineers who are equipped with theoretical and applied knowledge aligned with national priorities and global needs, who effectively internalize the use of design and communication technologies, who possess strong communication skills within universal principles, who demonstrate advanced research, design, and problem-solving abilities, who are inclined to teamwork, and who are capable of taking on leadership roles.

Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering encompasses subjects such as spacecraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, propulsion systems, the reintroduction of supersonic aircraft into commercial air transportation, airline operations, flying cars, artificial intelligence applications in aviation, additive manufacturing technologies in aviation, advanced smart aerospace materials, autonomous aerial vehicles, wind turbines, turbomachinery, satellite systems, and the development of robotic systems in aviation.

In summary, during your four-year undergraduate education, you will first take courses involving fundamental sciences, followed by core engineering courses. Afterwards, you will take professional courses in which you will apply the knowledge acquired in fundamental science and engineering courses, and ultimately graduate.
