Students

Students in the Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (English) Program are considered key stakeholders in the educational process. Student representatives at the department and faculty levels communicate students’ feedback and suggestions to the relevant academic boards.

Student course evaluation surveys are conducted at the end of each semester for all courses within the program. These surveys enable students to assess course content, learning outcomes, and instructional effectiveness. The results are systematically reviewed and utilized to support continuous improvement of the educational quality.

Department of Aerospace Engineering Student: Mr. Yehya Elnoti

Mr. Yehya Elnoti, a student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul Aydın University, stands out not only through his academic commitment but also through his growing technical competence and involvement in scientific research.

His contributions in the fields of artificial intelligence and drone technologies are not only enhancing his academic development but are also shedding light on future engineering applications. Mr. Yehya Elnoti was a contributing author in the international book titled "Innovations and Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Electrical and Electronics Engineering", published by Livre de Lyon on March 23, 2025. In the chapter titled "Mathematical Modeling of Quadrotor Drone", the fundamental mathematical modeling methods and control architectures of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are discussed, emphasizing the critical importance of mathematical model accuracy in ensuring system stability and performance. This work was carried out in collaboration with Assist. Prof. Dr. Yakoub Nettari from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

In addition, Mr. Elnoti is currently co-authoring a new research paper with Dr. Nettari on an autonomous quadcopter capable of classifying solar panels. This work is expected to be published in December 2025.

We would like to highlight that similar academic support and opportunities are also available at Istanbul Aydın University. As faculty members, we are always eager to collaborate with our students on scientific research projects.

As a second-year undergraduate student, Mr. Yehya Elnoti's involvement in such academic work serves as a valuable and inspiring example for other students who are interested in pursuing research at the undergraduate level.

We congratulate him and wish him continued success in his academic journey.
