Vision

AFRİKAM aims to be a Research and Application Centre that contributes to the role Turkey can play in Africa's future. It pursues this aim by conducting in-depth research on Africa's political, economic and social structures, its place in world politics, and Turkey-Africa relations; by building national and international knowledge on Africa; and by establishing networks and partnerships with relevant public and private institutions, the academic community and civil-society organisations in order to strengthen relations with African countries.

Mission

AFRİKAM's core mission is to meet the growing interest of Turkey's academic, bureaucratic and business circles in the 'rising Africa' of the twenty-first century, to encourage a broader discussion of Turkey's image of Africa, and to foster a deeper understanding of the continent.
