Dear Young People,
Social work is a professional field shaped by a deep belief in human dignity, individual differences, and social justice — a field that brings science together with human values. Mindful of social inequalities, disadvantaged groups, and the changing needs of individuals and families, our university aims to train social service professionals who can approach the individual, the family, and society from a holistic perspective, who possess scientific competence in their field, and who have a strong sense of ethical sensitivity.
Our program aims to train individuals who can recognize the needs of children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, women, migrants, and other at-risk groups; who can plan protective-preventive and rehabilitative services; and who can integrate the experience they gain in the field with theoretical knowledge. To this end, our students acquire both theoretical knowledge and hands-on field experience within an interdisciplinary curriculum that intersects with sociology, psychology, law, and health sciences.
As the Social Services Program, we invite you not merely to acquire a profession, but to become agents of change with strong social sensitivity, commitment to ethical principles, and human rights at the center of your work.
With love and respect,
Lecturer Güler DEYMENCİOĞLU
