Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of the course is to enable students to understand the fundamental concepts and processes of international trade, comprehend international payment and delivery terms, recognize trade documents, and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare international trade contracts.
Course Content This course examines the definition, scope, and differences between domestic and international trade, as well as the reasons and benefits of engaging in international trade. Students learn fundamental concepts of international trade and analyze current trade statistics. Concepts of customs and transportation, foreign exchange regulations, and related documents are covered, while international delivery terms and payment methods are taught through both theoretical instruction and practical examples. Additionally, commercial, official, transport, finance, and insurance documents used in international trade are introduced, and practical exercises in document preparation are conducted. In the later weeks of the term, international trade contracts are studied and reinforced through sample analyses and practical applications.
