In the Business Management Associate Degree Program, our students are recognized as the primary internal stakeholders of our corporate governance mechanism in continuous quality improvement workflows. The continuous and systematic interaction processes established with our students are outlined below:
1. Participation in Decision-Making Mechanisms
Student Representation System: The Program Student Representative, democratically elected each academic year, directly conveys our students' demands, recommendations, and academic requirements to the department chair and academic boards. Student representatives actively participate in extended department boards and stakeholder meetings concerning curriculum updates and educational quality enhancement.
2. Feedback and Satisfaction Surveys (PDCA Cycle)
- Course and Instructor Evaluation: At the end of each semester, students anonymously evaluate course contents, learning materials, and instructor performances via the Student Information System (SIS).
- Program Satisfaction and Workload Surveys: Through the ECTS Workload and Student Satisfaction Surveys implemented at the end of terms, students' out-of-class study commitments and organizational expectations are analyzed. In accordance with MEDEK quality standards, the survey insights are utilized as direct data for mitigating the program's weaknesses (Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle).
3. Academic Advising and Communication Channels
- Structured Advising Services: Upon enrollment, an Academic Advisor is assigned to each student to systematically monitor their academic performance, compulsory internships, and career projections. One-on-one interaction is sustained during weekly scheduled advising hours, both in person and via digital platforms.
- Orientation Programs: At the beginning of each academic year, a comprehensive "Student Orientation Program" is organized to ensure that newly registered students swiftly adapt to the institutional culture, university facilities, and curriculum frameworks.
