The Istanbul Aydın University Department of Pilotage aims to provide a qualified and comprehensive education in accordance with international aviation standards for students who aspire to pursue this high-standard profession.
Operating under the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Department of Pilotage aims to educate competent, well-equipped, and responsible pilots for the civil aviation sector by combining academic knowledge, flight practice, and professional ethical values.
The curriculum of the Department of Pilotage has been designed in line with the standards of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA/SHGM), offering students a balanced integration of theoretical knowledge and practical training.
The Department of Pilotage prepares its students not only for graduation but also for a professional piloting career.
The language of instruction is 100% English. After successfully completing one year of English preparatory education, students begin their four-year undergraduate studies in the Department of Pilotage.
A total of 220 hours of practical flight training is provided by "ERAH AVIATION," an authorized flight training organization approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). Flight training activities are conducted at Kütahya, Uşak, and Isparta airports.
Upon graduation, students receive both a Bachelor's Degree in Pilotage and an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL-A) approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM).
Graduates of the Pilotage undergraduate program, having received high-quality aviation English education at ICAO Level 6, are eligible for a wide range of career opportunities at both national and international levels, including air taxi operations, business jets, air ambulance services, cargo airlines, flight training organizations, and commercial airlines.
