Dear Colleagues, Dear Students,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul Aydın University. As the Dean of this distinguished institution, I take pride in our longstanding tradition of excellence in medical education, research, and clinical practice.

Almost every profession is related to people, and in some way involves helping another individual. However, medicine is the only profession that directly serves human beings and aims to enhance the quality of life of a person who has lost the state of healthy living. Acquiring such a profession, gaining experience, interpreting that experience, teaching it, and practicing it are not simple undertakings.

In this context, our Faculty of Medicine consists of a dedicated group of educators, researchers, and clinicians committed to equipping our students with the knowledge and skills required to become competent physicians. We believe in fostering an environment of inquiry, critical thinking, and lifelong learning, encouraging our students to explore new horizons and push the boundaries of medical knowledge.

Our faculty is also committed to advancing the field of medicine through cutting-edge research aimed at addressing the most pressing health challenges of our time. Our research programs encompass a wide spectrum of disciplines—from basic sciences to clinical research—and are designed to make meaningful contributions to human health.

As part of our commitment to clinical excellence, our faculty also plays an active role in providing top-quality patient care through our clinical affiliations. These partnerships offer our faculty members the opportunity to apply their expertise in real-world settings while also providing valuable clinical experience for our students.
