The mission of the software engineering program is to train software engineers who can produce effective solutions using engineering approaches within the software lifecycle, who have internalized ethical principles and lifelong learning, who are responsible, who can collaborate domestically and internationally, and thus contribute to national development and societal well-being.

To be one of the leading Software Engineering departments in Turkey and the world, educating competent engineers needed by industry, academia, and society both nationally and internationally; whose graduates are sought after internationally; and in terms of projects and training.

Program Objectives

To train engineers who can design appropriate solutions integrating ethical, social, legal, and economic considerations while using engineering approaches; who can understand and apply existing theories, models, and techniques that provide the foundation for software design, development, implementation, and verification; who can work effectively in a software development environment; who can provide leadership when necessary; who can communicate well with users; in other words, who possess project management skills; and who continue their professional and personal development by embracing lifelong learning.
