Research Areas & Groups

The main division in legal education, which has its roots in Roman law, is the distinction between public law and private law. According to the traditional division, it is assumed that the legal relationships arising from sovereignty and state authority between the state and individuals, and the relationships established between private law individuals on the basis of equality, confer different types of rights and obligations on the parties. Although the public-private distinction has changed from earlier periods, the division between public law and private law remains a fundamental distinction in the teaching of law. In addition to this traditional approach, our faculty also conducts research in areas such as information technology law, sports law, and health law, which lie at the intersection of these two fields and involve intense social and economic relations.
