As in all programs offered under Istanbul Aydın University, the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process in the Drama and Acting Bachelor’s Program is carried out in accordance with the Exemption and Course Adaptation Directive and the Principles for the Recognition of Prior Learning, as determined by the resolutions of the University Senate. Within this framework, courses previously taken and successfully completed by students admitted to the program through vertical transfer (DGS) or through internal or inter-institutional horizontal transfer are meticulously reviewed by the Departmental Adaptation Committee in terms of content, credit value, and ECTS compatibility. For courses deemed appropriate, adaptation, exemption, or credit transfer procedures are implemented.
This process is conducted with the aim of recognizing students’ prior learning, safeguarding their academic achievements, and preventing unnecessary repetition of coursework. The University also applies procedures for the recognition of prior learning for students who have received education domestically or abroad within the scope of Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana, and other international exchange programs.
