Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to know the basic concepts related to health tourism and medical tourism, to analyze health tourism practices in our country and in the world, and to evaluate the solutions to problems related to health tourism.
Course Content The concept of health tourism, its development, the concept of medical tourism, elderly and accessible tourism, thermal tourism concepts. Reverse flow concept in medical tourism, tourism health, differences between tourist health and medical tourism. Areas and countries where medical tourists are mostly treated, reasons for development. The place of Asian countries in medical tourism, cross-border patient mobility in European countries and the concept of medical tourism. Medical tourism activities in the American continent. Quality and accreditation practices in health tourism. Evaluation of the effects of technology on health tourism.
