Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Explaining the concept of supply chain management and logistics and the importance of these decisions for healthcare institutions; Explaining information, material, service and money flow management throughout the network of health care service production and delivery at all stages from the supplier to the customer receiving health care services; It is aimed to teach the basic logistics activities such as handling, stock management, demand forecasting, customs clearance as well as storage and transportation in the flow of information, materials, services and money throughout the supply chain.
Course Content Classification of materials in health institutions, material requirements determination, purchasing and purchasing decision process, purchasing methods in health institutions, stock control methods and stock valuation methods, modern material management techniques, stockless material management (JIT) system, important components of logistics and logistics process, In healthcare institutions, logistics constitutes a supply chain.
