Önceki Öğrenmenin Tanınması

Students accepted into the program may be exempt from equivalent courses in the program if they have previously taken courses at any higher education institution. These students may apply to the program chair, no later than the first week of the academic year in which they enrolled at the university, with an official transcript from their previous higher education institution and a letter specifying the courses for which they wish to be exempted. For students enrolled in foreign language preparatory courses or Turkish preparatory courses, this date is the start of the first year. The program's equivalency committee and the relevant faculty board evaluate within ten working days whether the courses for which the student has applied for exemption can be counted in place of the courses in the program and make a decision. The exemption status is determined based on the equivalent courses identified and the grades received in these courses, and an equivalency program is prepared for the student. The maximum duration of study for students transferring horizontally to the same department or program is calculated based on the year in which the student enrolled at the higher education institution from which they are transferring. The maximum duration of study for students transferring horizontally to a different department or program is calculated from the year in which they enrolled at our university, without taking into account the time spent at the higher education institution from which they are transferring. Students transferring horizontally are exempted from courses equivalent to those in the program they are transferring to, based on a decision by the relevant administrative board, for courses they have taken at their previous university. The grades they have received for these courses are entered as equivalent courses on their transcript and are included in the calculation of their overall grade point average. Students who are successful in their undergraduate program at our university may be granted the right to pursue a second undergraduate program. The implementation principles for double major and minor programs are determined by the Senate within the framework of relevant legislation.
