Aim
Our goal is to cultivate the qualified workforce needed in the field of Tourism and Hotel Management for individuals who can assume responsibilities related to their field in the public and private sectors, who can practice their profession in various sectors and companies offering services in the field of Tourism and Hotel Management, or who can establish their own businesses, and who aim to continue their academic and professional development by pursuing undergraduate education in Tourism and Hotel Management and related fields. Furthermore, our program's goal is to cultivate the qualified workforce the sector requires.
Targets
The department's primary objective is to cultivate a qualified workforce, both within Turkey and globally, who possess all the theoretical knowledge required in the field of tourism, possess substantial sectoral experience, possess a very good command of at least two foreign languages, possess the ability to use computer technologies, possess decision-making and implementation skills, closely follow the latest developments in global tourism, possess expertise in human relations, and possess a broad vision and are open to continuous improvement. Throughout their studies, students will understand the fundamental principles of tourism and hotel management and the importance of contemporary technologies relevant to their profession. They will understand the importance of research, development, and conducting research, both individually and in groups, on matters related to their field, and their legal responsibilities as tourism and hotel managers. They will understand the importance of following relevant legislation and familiarize themselves with the documents used in business. They will understand the importance of professional ethics in business life, and will also be familiar with and apply relevant computer package programs, as well as the processes, techniques, and principles involved in food production and consumption. They will be able to conduct correspondence, store information, and utilize stored information using computers. In line with the objectives, it aims to provide graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge of their field, as well as providing an education that facilitates their employability by supporting their socio-cultural development.
