The Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) program participated in the "Everything About Aviation" event organized by the Aviation Club. The event, moderated by İsmail Siyahtaş, a 2022 Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) graduate, was attended by Turkish Airlines Captain Akın Hoş, TGS Flight Operations Specialist Mehmet Emin Akar, and Turkish Airlines Flight Planning Specialist Elif Değirmenci. Information was provided on airline criteria for these professions, the advantages and disadvantages of the profession, as well as detailed information on emergency situations and suggested solutions. At the end of the event, Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) Program Head and Aviation Club Advisor Instructor Gülcan Güzel handed over plaques to Elif Değirmenci Hanım, Aviation Club President and Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) student Sıla Çiçek ÖZTÜRK to Mehmet Emin Akar, and Civil Air Transportation Management (Turkish) student and Aviation Club Management Treasurer/Public Relations Officer Esma AYDIN/Yaren Saliha TÜRKAN to Captain Akın Hoş.

İsmail Enes Siyahtaş, a graduate of the Civil Air Transportation Management Department at IAU and TGS Passenger Services Officer, participated in our "Ask the Graduate" event during IAU Preference and Promotion Week, introducing himself and answering our questions. Our graduates from the IAU Civil Air Transportation Management Department, Ceyhun Küskü, who works in International Air Cargo Transportation, and Aylin Duzla, a Visa and Passport Officer at Gözen, participated in the "Ask the Graduate" event organized by the Istanbul Aydın University Alumni Association (IAUMED), introducing the department and answering questions from the Aviation Club. The Current Issues in Aviation Event was held under the moderation of İsmail SİYAHTAŞ, a 2022 Civil Air Transportation Management Graduate.

Civil Air Transport Management (Turkish) Program Head and Vice President of IAUMED, Lecturer Gülcan Güzel organized an event titled "Current Topics in Aviation." The event took place on May 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Orange Hall, Block D, with the participation of Singapore Airlines Turkey and Marketing Services Manager Derya PEKRUH GERÇEKER; Turkish Airlines Flight Planning Specialist Dr. Elif DEĞİRMENCİ; and İsmail SİYAHTAŞ, a 2022 graduate of the Civil Air Transport Management Turkish Program and working as a TGS Passenger Services Officer. PEKRUH GERÇEKER introduced Singapore Airlines, discussed the advertising strategies Singapore Airlines has implemented, and outlined their activities during the pandemic and the support Singapore Airlines provided to the earthquake disaster, which affected Türkiye, particularly Kahramanmaraş. Elif DEĞİRMENCİ discussed the job description of a flight planning specialist, the factors they consider when opening a new route or closing an existing one, the actions Turkish Airlines took during the earthquake disaster in Kahramanmaraş, and the challenges they faced in managing this process. İsmail SİYAHTAŞ, who works in Passenger Services at TGS, discussed his activities during his time as a student at Istanbul Aydın University and the impact these activities had on his professional life, as well as the activities and opportunities offered by TGS. At the end of the event, plaques were presented to our speakers, and certificates of participation were presented to our students.
