OUR MISSION In line with the institutional missions of Istanbul Aydın University and Anadolu BİL Vocational School, our mission is to educate qualified biomedical device technicians who possess the necessary foundational, up-to-date, and applied knowledge in the field of biomedical device technologies. Graduates will be competent in carrying out the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and fault analysis of medical devices in accordance with international standards. The program aims to train sought-after Biomedical Device Technicians who can respond to the evolving needs of the sector, generate innovative solutions to technical problems with analytical thinking skills, take initiative while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, internalize occupational health and safety principles along with professional ethics, prioritize “patient safety”, and adopt lifelong learning as a core principle to contribute to humanity. OUR VISION Our vision is to become a pioneering and nationally recognized reference program in the field of biomedical device technologies through its innovative educational approach, strong industry integration, and up-to-date curriculum that embraces digital transformation. We strive to be a respected program that rapidly adapts to global advancements in health technologies, continuously elevates quality standards in applied technical education, and produces highly qualified technicians who are preferred in the medical sector and will shape the future of hospital technical infrastructure. PROGRAM FACILITIES Graduates who successfully pass the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) can transfer to four-year undergraduate programs. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Graduates of the Biomedical Device Technology Program are awarded the title of “Biomedical Device Technician” and have broad employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors of healthcare and medical technology. The main fields where our graduates can work include: Healthcare Institutions (Public and Private): They serve in the Biomedical/Clinical Engineering departments of Ministry of Health state hospitals, training and research hospitals, university hospitals, and private hospital complexes. Their responsibilities include the operation, periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of medical devices. Technical Service and Distributor Companies: They can work as technical service technicians or clinical application specialists in national and international companies that provide sales, installation, periodic maintenance, and repair services for medical devices and systems (including those used in operating rooms, intensive care units, sterilization units, and central medical gas systems). Calibration Laboratories: They can be employed as test technicians in accredited calibration laboratories that perform testing, measurement, and verification of medical devices in accordance with international standards. Medical Manufacturing Sector: They can work in production, quality control, or technical support units of factories manufacturing medical devices, consumables, or hospital equipment. Public Institutions: They can be appointed as technical staff to the central and provincial organizations of the Ministry of Health and university hospitals through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS).
