As is well known, the rapid changes and developments occurring in the healthcare sector are leading to the widespread use of biomedical devices in diagnosis and treatment, increasing their diversity and development. Similarly, the opposite leads to improvements in the healthcare sector. In other words, the innovations brought about by advancements in biomedical device technology inevitably lead to the advancement and development of the healthcare sector.
It is clear that biomedical device technicians play a crucial role in the inextricable link between these two sectors, which constantly push each other to evolve and advance scientifically. It is clear that the need for personnel with the necessary technical and scientific knowledge is growing daily.
Since the founding of our program in 2012, in addition to the courses they take in biomedical device knowledge, mechanics, electricity, and electronics, we also regularly provide our students with practical experience in healthcare institutions and medical device companies to ensure they can easily adapt to this ever-changing and evolving technology. Thus, when our students enter the workforce in the future, we train them to be biomedical device technicians who are open to innovation, able to keep up with developments in their profession, understand the importance of teamwork, are aware of their responsibilities, and can easily communicate with engineers and readily transfer the technical knowledge they acquire to lower-level technical staff such as technicians and foremen. Furthermore, our students graduate with the knowledge and skills to organize work, solve problems, and make decisions, as well as perform maintenance and repair using equipment, keep records, write reports, and, if they choose, start their own businesses.
