The Civil Engineering (in Turkish) Program at Istanbul Aydın University aims to equip students with the fundamental engineering knowledge and skills required for the design and construction of safe, sustainable, and resilient structures that meet society's essential needs. The program adopts an integrated academic approach covering structural engineering, geotechnics, hydraulics, transportation, and construction materials.
The educational process is supported by laboratory experiments, computer-based analyses, and the effective use of modern engineering software, alongside theoretical coursework. Students gain practical experience in key areas such as earthquake-resistant structural design, seismic performance analysis, soil–structure interaction, infrastructure systems, and structural strengthening.
The program is distinguished by its strong laboratory facilities, extensive use of contemporary engineering software, research-oriented education model, and close collaboration with the construction industry.
The Civil Engineering Program aims to educate engineers who possess strong analytical thinking skills, professional ethics, environmental awareness, and a commitment to lifelong learning, preparing graduates to successfully adapt to both current professional demands and future technological challenges.
