a) Aydın Acoustic Studio:
Within the framework of a continuous improvement approach aimed at strengthening educational processes, the department constantly develops its technical infrastructure. In this context, the Acoustic Studio was established with the support of a BAP project and offers active hands-on experience to Radio, Television and Cinema students.
Aydın Acoustic is a student-oriented applied studio project carried out by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Aydın University. Within the scope of the project, independent musicians and artists are hosted in a professional studio environment within the university, and their performances are recorded in high-resolution audio and video formats and archived. The entire production process is carried out with the active participation of students, enabling them to transfer their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain professional experience.
The studio is designed in accordance with contemporary broadcasting and sound technologies and is equipped to meet high standards in both visual and auditory production. Integrated into educational activities, this infrastructure provides students with an experience close to real sector conditions. The audio-visual content produced within the project is regularly shared with the public through digital platforms. Content is published on YouTube under the username “@Aydinakustik1” and on Instagram under “AydinAkustik,” contributing to the sustainability of project outputs and enabling students to interact with wide audiences in the field of digital broadcasting. This also increases the university’s cultural visibility and institutional recognition.
During production processes, students actively take roles in many areas including directing, camera operation, lighting design, sound recording, art direction, studio management and social media content production. This multi-dimensional participation allows students to develop both technical and creative skills. With its practice-based structure, the Aydın Acoustic Project supports creative learning strategies and is fully aligned with the department’s educational goals.
Students not only learn how to use technical equipment but also gain comprehensive practical experience in shooting planning, directing practices, light–space harmony and post-production processes. This holistic approach aims to improve both technical competence and creative problem-solving skills.
The shooting and production activities carried out in the studio are integrated into the courses RTS465 Music Video Directing, RTS324 Radio Programming and RTS469 Radio Applications, increasing both theoretical and practical learning outcomes. Aydın Acoustic enables students to actively participate in every stage of production and thus enhances their professional competencies. The equipment and technical infrastructure are planned flexibly to meet both current and future educational and production needs of the department.
Within the framework of continuous improvement, in May 2025 the innovative television channel “Aydın İF TV” was launched to strengthen student-centered applied education. This project provides students with hands-on experience, encourages active participation in media production, supports creativity and helps them develop professional skills in real production environments.
The studio is equipped with up-to-date broadcasting and sound technologies and structured to meet high standards of audio and visual quality. The main technical equipment includes:
• Mixing and Sound Control Systems:
Presonus StudioLive32 SC digital mixer enables advanced multi-channel sound control.
Presonus NS16-8 Stagebox provides reliable signal transfer between microphones and mixer.
• Microphone Systems:
Sennheiser EW 122P G4 wireless lavalier system for mobile shoots.
Sennheiser MK4 and RODE NT1 condenser microphones for vocal and instrumental recordings.
Sennheiser e 614 overhead and e 608 dynamic microphones for percussion and drums.
Sennheiser E 600 Series Drum Pack III for detailed multi-piece drum recording.
• Supporting Equipment:
Konig & Meyer adjustable microphone and speaker stands.

Aydın Acoustic, with its technical infrastructure and pedagogical approach, creates a learning environment that supports artistic production and professional development.
b) Photography Training Studio
The photography studio is designed as a contemporary educational photography studio. It includes a naturally curved seamless white background made with a concrete and drywall system. The studio is equipped with four Profoto lighting systems of approximately 3000 watts, along with stands, booms, softboxes, octaboxes and similar accessories.
The studio allows various types of shooting including medium-size product photography, fashion shoots, still-life, tabletop and group photography. As it is organized as a student observation and practice studio, it has a capacity that allows approximately 60 students to watch and participate in applications simultaneously.
