Accordingly, the laboratory is equipped with a tablet press machine, capsule filling device, granulator, homogenizer, centrifuge, viscometer, spectrophotometer, pH meter, melting point apparatus, gas chromatography (GC), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) instrument.
Division of Biochemistry
The Biochemistry Laboratory for practical courses is designed to enable students to perform advanced analytical and biochemical evaluations. Basic equipment such as water baths, ultrasonic baths, vortex mixers, analytical balances, and pH meters are available for solution and sample preparation. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with instruments supporting biochemical and clinical analysis processes, including a biochemistry analyzer, dual microscope, spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) instrument, hematocrit centrifuge, hemogram analyzer, hormone analyzer, urine analyzer, urine sediment analyzer, blood grouping incubator, blood gas analyzer, fully automated coagulometer, centrifuges, and sedimentation devices.
Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Laboratories used for Pharmaceutical Chemistry practical courses are structured to support students' education across a wide range of applications, including the classification and mechanisms of common organic reactions, separation and purification methods, and active pharmaceutical ingredient analysis and evaluation. The laboratory infrastructure includes basic equipment such as ultrasonic baths, vortex mixers, magnetic stirrers, analytical balances, pH meters, heating mantles, and UV lamps, as well as instrumental analysis devices such as spectrophotometers, FTIR, and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) ınstrument for in-depth analytical training.
Division of Analytical Chemistry
The Analytical Chemistry Laboratory is designed to support students' practical training from basic chemical preparation processes to advanced analytical evaluations. For Analytical Chemistry practical courses, the laboratories are equipped with the technical infrastructure required for solution preparation, sample preparation, and basic measurement applications. In addition to basic equipment such as water baths, ultrasonic baths, vortex mixers, analytical balances, and pH meters, the laboratories include spectrophotometers, colorimeters, potentiostats, and HPLC instrument used within the scope of Analytical Chemistry practical training.
Division of Pharmaceutical Toxicology
The Division of Pharmaceutical Toxicology has a comprehensive infrastructure that enables students to perform toxicological analyses using analytical and instrumental methods, allowing them to gain experimental approaches related to toxicity tests, toxicokinetic processes, and metabolic reactions in a scientific and systematic manner, while also supporting hands-on learning of fundamental biosafety procedures. The infrastructure includes a Cell Culture Laboratory and a DNA/RNA Isolation Laboratory equipped with shaking water baths, mini centrifuges, refrigerated centrifuges, and ultrasonic cleaning baths for molecular biology-based sample preparation and isolation processes. The Immunofluorescence Microscopy Laboratory contains equipment such as immunofluorescence microscopes and stereo microscopes, enabling advanced imaging and microscopic evaluation applications. In addition, the laboratory infrastructure is supported by equipment that allows biological samples to be stored under appropriate conditions. The Microscopy Laboratory supports microscopic examination and evaluation with image-equipped light microscopes and standard light microscopes. In the PCR Room, analytical procedures are conducted using ELISA systems and spectrophotometer/ELISA plate readers. The Sterilization Laboratory supports sterilization processes with equipment such as steam sterilizers, dry heat sterilizers, UV pure water systems, and laboratory dishwashers.
Division of Pharmaceutical Microbiology
The Pharmaceutical Microbiology Laboratory has a comprehensive infrastructure that supports students in learning microbiological practices, sterile working principles, and fundamental biosafety procedures through hands-on training in Pharmaceutical Microbiology practical courses. Within this scope, the Media Preparation Laboratory supports culture media preparation and environmental control practices, which constitute the fundamental stage of microbiological studies, and is equipped with devices such as air samplers, colony counters, and orbital shakers. The DNA/RNA Isolation Laboratory includes equipment such as shaking water baths, mini centrifuges, refrigerated centrifuges, and ultrasonic cleaning baths for molecular biology-based sample preparation and isolation processes. The Immunofluorescence Microscopy Laboratory contains immunofluorescence microscopes and stereo microscopes for advanced imaging and microscopic evaluations. The Culture Inoculation Laboratory is equipped with incubators, densitometers, and refrigerated incubators to support microorganism culturing and incubation processes. In addition, the laboratory infrastructure is supported by equipment that enables biological samples to be stored under appropriate conditions. The Microscopy Laboratory supports microscopic examination and evaluation with image-equipped light microscopes and standard light microscopes. The Sterilization Laboratory supports sterilization processes with equipment such as steam sterilizers, dry heat sterilizers, UV pure water systems, and laboratory dishwashers.
Division of Pharmaceutical Botany / Pharmacognosy
The Pharmaceutical Botany / Pharmacognosy Laboratory has the technical infrastructure to support hands-on training in the examination, identification, and evaluation of plant-derived drugs. Educational and practical activities are conducted using equipment such as microscopes, rotary evaporators, and lyophilizers commonly employed in botanical and pharmacognostic studies.
