The Internet and Network Technologies Program at Istanbul Aydın University Anadolu BİL Vocational School is a two-year associate degree program. It aims to train technicians with strong practical skills and a solid theoretical foundation in the installation, configuration, management, and security of computer networks and internet infrastructure. Throughout the program, students do not merely learn how to run a network. They also come to understand why it is built on a particular architecture and which technical principles can resolve the problems that arise.
The curriculum covers the core subjects of network technologies in an integrated way. These include the OSI reference model and the TCP/IP protocol stack, IP addressing and subnetting, routing and switching, wired and wireless communication, fiber optic infrastructure, server systems and virtualization, cloud technologies, and open-source enterprise operating systems. In addition, the program offers courses in network monitoring, performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and basic network security built on a zero-trust approach. A significant portion of the coursework takes place in laboratory settings and with simulation tools. Students work on realistic scenarios and learn to document their work and justify their technical decisions.
Graduates can work in areas such as network technical support, network operations, system and server support, data center operations, infrastructure installation and maintenance, and basic security operations. The main workplaces in these fields are the IT units of telecommunications operators, internet service providers, data centers, banks, public institutions, educational and healthcare organizations, and industrial enterprises. The program also encourages lifelong professional development. Students are guided to follow technical documentation, build their foreign language skills, and approach new technologies critically. Under current regulations and central placement conditions, graduates may also continue to a bachelor’s degree through vertical transfer.
