General Information

The mission of our program is to provide national and international quality education and training to train Technical Personnel who are able to keep up with current changes in the construction sector, have basic professional skills, have acquired the necessary background in basic sciences, possess sufficient language and communication skills, can use the knowledge they acquire to produce solutions to problems they encounter, have acquired the necessary background to receive engineering education and can create various designs with this knowledge, and possess a professional ethical awareness.

Department Opportunities: Program graduates can gain the right to transfer to undergraduate programs determined by ÖSYM.

Career Opportunities: Our graduates who successfully complete the Construction Technology program can work as construction technicians in all public institutions and organizations, municipalities and private sectors; in companies that actively participate in the construction of structures such as dams, roads, airports, and residences, and in companies that provide inspection services; and in the natural resource, transportation/highway, and construction departments and material testing laboratories of public or local governments.

Educational Goals and Objectives of the Program:

Aim

1.           To provide the necessary infrastructure within the scope of engineering basic education in the fields of Mathematics and Science and to train construction technicians with knowledge and skills.

2.           To train construction technicians who can follow scientific and technological developments in their field, adhere to ethical values, and develop an interdisciplinary approach by providing the necessary equipment in construction sites and offices in a way suitable for the construction sector.

3.           To train construction technicians who can apply the technical infrastructure in the construction industry in the public and private sectors.

4.           To train graduates who will be successful by technically applying the knowledge appropriate to the developments in the construction field.

Aim

The goal of the IAU           Construction Technology program is to provide students with research, planning, design, and application competencies; to ensure that upon graduation, they will be individuals who understand the application, can adapt to change, and are sought after in their fields all over the world.
