About

AYCEV started its activities again on November 12, 2020, when the inactive translation club at Istanbul Aydın University was activated by the students of the Translation and Interpreting Department. While the club is not limited to Istanbul Aydın University students, it currently has more than 100 members. AYCEV is chaired by Caner Akbaba, a 4th-year Translation and Interpreting student, and advised by Cemal Topcu, a Research Assistant. AYCEV has set itself the mission of introducing the field of translation to its members, contributing to the development of the social skills of its members through the activities organized, graduating not only with a diploma but also with experience, and playing an active role in social activities. Academy, Social Activities, Organization, and Social Media Teams were established to reduce the distribution of tasks and the workload of the club and to be better organized. Our members can be part of any of these teams if they want to take an active role in the club. Since the very first day of its establishment, AYCEV has been and will continue to be there for its members and all those who want to improve themselves in the translation industry, thanks to its mission and vision, activities, and social responsibility projects.
